Michael Sonza is the founder of Cabildo Capital, an independent wealth management firm based in Washington, DC. Originally from New Orleans, Michael draws on his hometown's spirit of community and accountability — including the firm's name, which references the historic Cabildo, a symbol of strength and authority in New Orleans.

Michael founded Cabildo Capital on a simple conviction: that families, entrepreneurs, and executives deserve transparent, conflict-free guidance from a fiduciary advisor who is ethically bound to put their interests above all else.

Outside the office, Michael enjoys reading, football, and spending time with his family. He is a Board member of the Smith Endowment Fund at Blessed Sacrament School, as well as an active member in the community. He lives in Chevy Chase DC with his wife Heather, their four children and their Old English Sheepdog Claire.

Heather's professional background includes operations, contracts, and procurement, with experience supporting both domestic and international organizations. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to client service and the continued growth of the firm.

Outside of the office, Heather enjoys genealogy, travel, and spending time with her family. She is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Hillwood Museum.
